Anna-Maria Khemi

Jesus completely transformed my life when I was in my second year of university. Originally, I left the faith just before starting school. I thought that any freedom and healing I could gain in my life was through running away from Christianity and doing it on my own. I joined a CCO faith study in my first year, but this was only to make my parents happy. Through the course of a year and a half, I realized that Jesus is the ultimate physician and healer. He showed me a love that will always fulfill, and that ‘my way’ would never compare to His. I fully encountered Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration when I kneeled at the front of the church asking, “Jesus, why can’t you just heal me?”. Shortly after, someone knelt beside me and said “Jesus wants you to be healed.”. That was the first time I ever felt fully seen by Jesus, and I invited Jesus to be at the center of my life! Through CCO, I felt a hurting on my heart for those that don’t know Jesus, and I want to share the joy He can bring in everyone’s life.

My Mission

The world needs a chain reaction of leaders sharing the Gospel. Multiplication is what I’ve seen with CCO and I’m so glad I’ve already been part of God’s plan for revival of the Church and Jesus at the center of our hearts. Nothing fills me with more joy than talking to others about Jesus; To build up others’ identity in Him, and to teach that there is a love and joy that can’t be gained through anything else. I am beyond excited to join the mission and grow the Lord’s Kingdom at the University of Saskatchewan!
