My Story

I am a missionary in Ottawa, alongside my wife Megan, and four children, Monica, Xavier, Gabriel and Elizabeth. I am from a small mountain town Salmon Arm, BC, where I grew up in a great home but absent of God. Therefore, I was agnostic growing up, but I was terrified of death and how it didn’t make sense for your life to just end. I always felt there must be more to life than what I was living, especially when I was up in the mountains and saw His creation’s grandeur. I found the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ in Grade 10 through an invitation of my friends and became Catholic at 17 in Grade 11. Once at the University of British Columbia, I found CCO, and they taught me how to be genuinely effective in proclaiming Jesus clearly and simply. As my degree was coming to an end, I decided that all that matters is Jesus be proclaimed, and that is what brings me joy and if not me, then who to proclaim Him. This led me to change my path from Teachers College and become a full-time missionary. Also, while in University, I went on CCO’s first mission trip to Uganda in 2010 and met my now wife Megan, who was involved with CCO at OttawaU. Together we felt called to be a missionary family.

My Mission

I am currently the Interim Director of Campus Programming. My role is to direct and guide the movement’s call to be protagonists in proclaiming the gospel clearly and simply on university campuses. I am blessed to be in a role where working through others, I oversee the national campus program. I also get to witness what the Lord is doing in student’s lives every day and hear stories of the Lord’s radical love. I am blessed to hear about lives being changed every day. It brings me joy to give my “yes” and to go, do, and say, wherever I am needed by the Lord.
