Ines Gakwenzire

Growing up, my identity revolved around success—grades, achievements, certainty and leadership—but none of it gave me true fulfillment. Moving to a new country, and not having things figured out for once, my heart was heavy and I was uncertain about my future. A friend introduced me to CCO, where I experienced God’s personal love during an adoration night. That night, I invited Jesus into my heart, and my life was forever changed. Now, my joy comes from living for Christ, knowing He is with me, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform my heart in every season, and bringing him to those who don’t know him yet.

My Mission

From my own story, I know Jesus’ heart aches for a personal relationship with every human heart. Blessed to journey with many people on campus, my parish and in my life, I have witnessed the transformative power of saying ‘yes’ to a personal relationship with Jesus. I have seen troubled hearts leap for joy, depressions healed, relationships restored, forgiveness extended, lives finding meaning and so much more.

I have done fun jobs for the biggest companies in North America, but nothing compares to the joy of proclaiming the Good News of deliverance. Isaiah 61:1 says: “The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted,to proclaim liberty to the captives,and release to the prisoners,” and this is me giving him my wholehearted yes.
