Marlie Wolensky

I grew up always believing in God but never actually did anything with my faith. Like so many others, I fell even further away from my faith when I attended university. I met CCO in my fourth year of schooling after spending a year and a half trying to find God on my own, with little success. The girls I met were the first people I knew who never spoke poorly or gossiped about anyone. I thought that was really weird but I wanted to be like them.

I encountered Jesus for the first time at a night of adoration hosted by CCO and my life was changed. For the first time ever I knew that the Lord saw me and loved me no matter how broken I was (and still am) and that He had never abandoned me. After that, giving myself to Him was the easiest “yes” of my life.

My Mission

It is my greatest desire for others to come to know and love Jesus as I have. I’ve experienced first-hand how the Lord changes hearts and transforms lives, and it is a gift to live out the missionary life every single day. The university campus is in dire need of Jesus, during this crucial stage of life when people are trying to answer the questions “Who am I? And what do I truly want?” This is what drives my mission; to share the fullness of truth, beauty and goodness of Christ with those who need it the most.
