My Story
I was raised in a small town in Northern Ontario called Hornepayne (you should visit sometime). I come from a family I absolutely love, with six siblings and two great parents. We were raised Catholic, but I spent most of my life disinterested in the Church.
My older brother had been involved with CCO, so when I went to university I was “strongly encouraged” to meet them. I ended up going to a fall retreat, and I was captured by the joy of these young Catholics. The story of the Prodigal Son played a huge role in my conversion as I came to realize how much God loved me, and I decided to place Him at the center of my life.
I got involved with CCO, leading faith studies and going on mission trips. I came to recognize, after university, that I felt the happiest when I was on mission with CCO. Working as a nurse, the great profession that it was, didn’t bring me the same joy. I further came to realize that I am who God has called me to be when I’m a missionary. God made it abundantly clear that He was calling me to CCO Staff, so I took action and gave Him my YES!
Now, I am part of the team at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, as a campus missionary. I’m excited to meet the students, delve into Newfoundland culture, and journey with them!
ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for my support raising and for the women I will be working with in St. John’s and for my fellow missionaries at Memorial.
