In university, I knew the importance of my faith, but I struggled with figuring out why it mattered to me. It was in my 2nd semester of university that I met CCO. I met people who were vibrant, authentic, and who had a joy that I had never seen before. They challenged me to take my faith more seriously. Eventually, it led to a moment where I realized that God was inviting me to more. In choosing Jesus above all, I found a peace like I had never encountered in my life. Since then, I’ve been choosing Jesus every day!
“Evangelization is in fact the grace and vocation proper to the Church, her deepest identity. She exists in order to evangelize.” (Evangelii Nuntiandi, 14)
Alongside many students, I experienced the love of Jesus through a campus missionary’s deep love and care. They helped me wrestle with truth and stirred my heart to know Jesus and his mission! By the time I graduated university, I was captivated by the mission of Jesus through CCO’s approach of One Person at a Time and Spiritual Multiplication. I realized that my deepest joy was found in helping others come to experience Jesus’ personal love for them.
“What does it matter? Just this, that Christ is proclaimed in every way, whether out of false motives or true; and in that I rejoice.” (Philippians 1:18)
