Samuele De Cosmo

For a long time, I kept myself busy and my life full of distractions. But underneath, I felt disconnected, empty, and completely alone. One night, after a very difficult breakup, I came across an ad for an app called Hallow on Instagram. I grew up Catholic, but I thought Christianity was stupid; still, I decided to give it a shot. That night, I meditated on Matthew chapter 8, when Jesus calms the storm, and I broke down in tears. Not long after, a friend invited me to CCO, and that is where everything really started to change. Through CCO, I came to understand that Jesus wants every part of me, not just the good parts, but the bad parts too. I learned what surrender meant. I opened my heart to Jesus and gave Him permission, and I have been learning to stay with Him ever since.

My Mission

I work part-time as a Marketing Operations Assistant, supporting CCO’s Marketing team with the systems, processes, and behind-the-scenes details that keep things running smoothly. What I find meaningful about this work is that it puts my skills in operations and order to use for something I genuinely care about, rather than for a product or a brand. This job matters because formation, evangelization, and outreach do not happen by accident; behind every campaign and resource is quiet work that makes them possible. By helping the Marketing team run well, I get to play a small part in how CCO reaches people (students and beyond) with the Gospel. It is a real gift to support the people who are on the front lines.
