Victoria Cálix

I used to believe that my identity depended on the things I did. I was part of Catholic communities on my campus and in my home country, Honduras, because it seemed like “the right thing”. For a long time, I knew about God, but my relationship with Him was not personal. It wasn’t until a retreat in my third year of university, where He reminded me of my true identity as his most beloved daughter, that I said “yes” to the love that Jesus offers me.
CCO has helped me deepen my relationship with Jesus, given me the courage to share it, and the leadership to help others do the same.

My Mission

I have met many university students who mention their desire to make a difference in the world. As a campus missionary at the University of Ottawa, I can’t wait to journey alongside young adults to Jesus, and help them discover that, with Him, they can be the leaders for the renewal of the world.
