LEAVE A LEGACY GIFT: IMPACT FUTURE GENERATIONS

Wise financial planning lets us provide for our loved ones into the future and also offers a unique opportunity to serve God’s kingdom. You can expand your impact by considering opportunities for planned giving with Catholic Christian Outreach.

Having a will is simply good stewardship. If you die without a will, your assets will be distributed according to provincial laws without your control over their allocation. Your ability to adequately protect your loved ones and dependents can be compromised without a will.

Unlike traditional gifts made from your income during your lifetime, a legacy gift is often made from your assets (such as investments or real estate) or from your estate after death. These gifts provide an opportunity to extend your current support of CCO’s mission to reach more people with the Gospel, including initiatives such as:

  • Supporting CCO’s programs and the ongoing formation of missionaries, campus leaders, parish leaders, diocesan leaders, and alumni, ensuring all are equipped to guide and strengthen their communities in faith and service.
  • Enabling young men and women to discover and pursue vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and marriage.
  • Ensuring that young people in post-secondary institutions and beyond have the opportunity to encounter Christ, through ongoing engagement with diocesan, parish, and alumni networks that nurture their faith and leadership at every stage of life.

HOW TO INCLUDE CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN OUTREACH IN YOUR WILL OR ESTATE PLAN

A simple way to leave a lasting impact is by including Catholic Christian Outreach in your will or estate plan. Here’s a sample of the language you can use:

“I give and bequeath to Catholic Christian Outreach, a nonprofit organization located at 501-1400 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, ON, Charitable Registration No. 1378 4363 RR0001, the sum of $____ (or __% of my estate, or the remainder thereof) to be used for its general purposes.”

By including Catholic Christian Outreach in your estate planning, you are making an enduring commitment to raising up Christ-centred, Spirit-filled leaders to evangelize the world one person at a time.

If you wish to inform CCO of your intention to leave a legacy gift to continue the mission, you can contact us at development@cco.ca

We recommend that you consult your attorney or financial advisor to ensure that your charitable intentions are properly documented and aligned with your overall estate plan.

We have been supporters of CCO for many years and we want CCO’s work to impact many future generations. We realized that an effective way for us to leave a lasting legacy would be to include a special bequest to CCO in our will. God has blessed us in so many ways and we are happy to give back in this way to support the faith of young people beyond our lifetime.”
