Maja Jocson

After graduating from university and starting work, I chased goals and relied on myself, but over time I realized how exhausting that path was. In my darkest moments, after pursuing everything the world promised would bring happiness, I heard Jesus calling me by name. I could hardly believe He would want me, because I felt so wretched and unworthy. Yet when I felt alone, abandoned, and rejected, Jesus was always with me. He carried me through those trials, teaching me what it truly means to carry the cross—not out of obligation, but out of love for God. By God’s grace, and through Our Blessed Mother’s guidance, I discovered what was missing: having God at the centre of my life.

One of my favourite saints is St. Peter, because in John 21, Jesus meets him in his failure and calls him to deeper trust. I’ve learned that holiness isn’t about a particular vocation, but saying “yes” to God in the duty of the moment. It has been a great adventure and true joy to journey with Jesus—He has set fire in my heart, and I am so grateful to continue walking with Him.

My Mission

I am excited to join CCO on mission to share how God has transformed my life and filled it with undying light. Through the kind and loving people I’ve met—who are deeply in love with Jesus and met me where I was—I experienced the power of accompaniment, which CCO specializes in. I hope to share that same light with others: walking alongside them without judgment and serving in a spirit of Nazareth, where Christ is found in the ordinary and in love
