Cisilia Cyril Kocherry

Since I was a child, I longed for a great love story, but that desire led me into sin at a very young age, leaving me feeling empty and alone. Although I knew of Jesus, I didn’t see Him as someone I could turn to, and after briefly encountering His love in confession, I fell back into old patterns out of shame and fear. In grade 12, during Adoration at a youth conference, I experienced God’s love in a deeply personal way and returned to confession, where I found true healing and freedom. From that moment, my desire for an earthly love story was replaced with a deeper longing to love Christ. Now, I run back to Him without fear, trusting in His love and continuing to grow closer to Him each day. Coming into University I felt isolated because no one else shared this faith, but then I met CCO and found a community that journeyed alongside of me as I came to fall more in love with Christ.

My Mission

This summer I’ll be serving with CCO, helping share the Gospel and support the mission of reaching others with Christ’s love. During a mission to Rome in 2025, I saw the impact of this firsthand when I watched three people give their lives to Christ at a Night Fever. At the end of the night, a young boy in tears told me how beautiful it was to see people praying, and it really stayed with me. That moment reminded me how God is at work in every heart. I’m excited to be part of this mission and help create more opportunities for people to encounter Him.
