Melia (Mia) Wong

Growing up, I wasn’t looking for a relationship with Christ, nor did I think it was something possible to have. When I had a profound encounter with Christ, praying for something that I thought was impossible, He showed up for me in ways I could not describe. That was what brought me to attend daily Mass on campus at SFU one day, where I met members of CCO. From there, I took my first faith study, where I rediscovered my faith and had my conversion. This led me to lead my own faith study, coach other faith study leaders, become a student exec member, go on mission to Rome during the Jubilee, and now, become a full-time missionary!

My Mission

My mission is to accompany university students to have their own encounters with Christ and to help them grow in their personal relationship with Him. I will also help equip them with the skills to become missionary disciples to build up the Church. It brings me joy to see one person inviting Jesus to be at the centre of their life and see how the Lord works through them.
