In response to the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope, CCO is sending a worship team called Verso l’alto that desires to encourage people to respond to the Great Commission in the context of musical worship.
We are convinced that the depths of missionary fervour and zeal is directly correlated with the heights of our worship and devotion.
The higher we climb in our worship,
the greater the extent to which we go out on mission.
We sing as we sow the seeds of the Gospel. We don’t sing for the sake of singing, for the sake of being seen, for the sake of stages. We sing so that we may fully encounter the presence of Jesus, again and again, and lead others to that encounter.
And as we encounter Jesus, we are reminded of His grace, constantly poured out for us.
In worship, we draw from that wellspring of grace, until we are overflowing. Then we immediately pour it out, in heroic acts of mission, proclamation, invitation, healing. Rinse and repeat.
Verso l’alto!
A line made famous by soon-to-be St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, ‘to the heights’, hearkens to our desire to meet God in the mountaintop moments of worship.
We are inspired by Pier Giorgio Frassati’s youthful audacity, commitment to following Jesus, and desire to become great according to God’s plan. We are also inspired by the cultural moment of the Youth Jubilee, the coming canonization of Pier Giorgio Frassati during the Jubilee Year of Hope, and CCO’s own adoption of Verso l’alto as its pastoral theme for the year of 2025.
Verso l’alto is an expression of the CCO movement’s spirituality and heart for worship. We are, in the power of the Holy Spirit, a powerful catalyst to activate multiplying leaders in fulfillment of Jesus’s Great Commission in the context of musical worship.

We lead others in worship, create and release new worship songs that reflect our heart for Jesus and the Great Commission, and equip worship leaders in the same capacity.
As ‘worship leaders’, we are ‘accompaniers’ on the journey. We are fellow sinners and aspiring saints who want to ascend the mountain of God together. In the context of musical worship, we desire to intentionally accompany others to grow in holiness and mission.
But as in the Transfiguration, Jesus leads his chosen disciples back down the mountain–for there is a Great Commission to carry out. More must hear about Him.
As a people of the Resurrection, we always return to the Mountain. We always come back to our First Love, but with more friends who we found along the way.
We sing as we climb.
We sing as we see Him fully revealed.
We sing as we descend.
We sing as we go out.
We sing as we return.
To the heights, in worship, in mission.
